She's trying to tell you that it's the part of the music business she hates- the over exposure on radio. She knows that music is a business that will use you up and spit out what's left. She does not want to be victim.
She keeps being super ungrateful about her success...

Also, She's being way overplayed and people are getting tired of her voice already, like Carly Rae.
& its not like she asked to be a hit. She wrote a song and sent it to alternative radio and for some reason pop picked it up.

+1
This reminds me when Madonna wanted to release her second album 'Like a Virgin' and she couldn't cus they just didn't stop playing 'Borderline' from her first album, she had to go on MTV and basically beg people to stop playing Borderline so she could release her new album
I don't think she should rush to release anything. She still should release "Tennis Court" being that it was released in some other parts of the world, and maybe one other single? "Glory and Gore", perhaps? I feel like Lorde would be the type of artist that doesn't want to overdo it with singles and she'd stop after only like, four, which I'm honestly fine with. But I can't imagine her releasing something new already before she even starts her North American tour.
She's just saying before she gives us new music, she wants us to get over the hype around 'Royals' since it's literally everywhere + those awful rap remixes/covers that are being released and then she'll give us a new era and what not. She's not ungrateful at all. Chill out.
