Ever since my high school got a new principal, everything has gone to ****
she has literally no idea how to run a school even after being a principal for other schools for over a decade. She's like a dictator.
First of all, and this is by far the most ridiculous rule she's made, we can't bring backpacks to classrooms anymore. We can't even bring them in the hallways where the classrooms are located without getting demerits. She made this rule a couple months into this school year. It stemmed from two or three teachers complaining about crowding in their classrooms because of the backpacks. My art teacher was trying to reason with her by letting us students become more respectful with the organization of the classroom and putting less things in our bags, she even brought a damn doctor in to talk to us about heavy backpacks, but our principal still put the rule in place. We're only given 5 minutes between classes, so if we have to go the bathroom, we're basically screwed because we have to go to our locker too.
Second, she made it almost impossible to drop a class. We have a one week period in the beginning of the school year to make revisions to our schedule, and after that, we need a "valid" reason to drop a class. Two of my friends were signed up for Algebra II this semester and they're in it but they're struggling a lot. They both tried to get out of the class but she wouldn't let them. She's making them go through the first half of the semester, and if they have a D or lower, THEN they can drop it
that's just a waste of time because they know that they won't be able to get anything higher than that. In reality, there's basically nothing that would convince her to let us drop a class unless we had a gap in our credit requirements.
I was one of the
very few people who defended her (I have no idea why
) but then she denied me into a virtual class even though my guidance counselor was all for it, so I hate her guts now too. Oh and she has ****ing monstrous thighs, like
Squidward so it's always fun to have a ki when we see her around the school
So does/did your HS have any dumb rules? I can't be the only one with a principal this awful
I'm just thankful that our old principal made cell phone use an acceptable policy in my freshman year because I know our new one wouldn't be having it.
