I don't like the word proud because it implies you accomplished or achieved something when the reality is you're just born there so there's nothing to really be proud of. I prefer to say I'm more or less satisfied with my country.

ahh that is an interesting thing to point out, though the way it's worded is a little off. i get it though. try to be patriotic wholeheartedly on Tumblr and all of a sudden you get a bunch of hate messages and replies like it somehow makes you a terrible person that your proud of how far your country has come and developed.
