Yes. It's so hard being gay and voting because I agree with Republicans on most issues, but I don't know if it's worth compromising my human rights over. So yes, voting democrat just for gay rights if you're gay isn't such a bad thing. I may agree with you but I'm not supporting someone who hates me just because I exist

girl the sterotypical mess here do u know out of the 50 states, 30 states have republican governors. lol and do u know nyc had a a republican mayor for 2 decades first democrat since 1989 so..... get ur facts before u come for my party.
This is off-topic since were talking a gay republican president not about governors. But to say the US is a conservative country, that is such a broad statement so of course many people wouldn't agree with it
People like to make the assumption that repub = Conservative bigots and democrats = liberals, but its much more complicated than that. Ive come across people from both parties that contradict this assumption. I personally think both parties have a biT too many faults for me to commit to either. But if a president who happened to be gay and identify more with republican views and I liked what he/she stood for or what he/she wanted to do then yes I would vote for them, simple as that. I dont really care about if they identify as repub/democrat/other or if theyre gay or straight mostly just about what their personal goals were
If I agreed with their policies and believe that they can do well as a president and not put us into a situation where we are in a recession or a depression, again, then yes I would.
