me too. i feel very bad.
with such good material..  i cant even imagine if Lindsay, Jessica, JoJo..or even Hilary will do.
and it really sucked that 'LMO' debuted in the 90's. and will fall off next week.
downloads are slowing down and airplay is falling. WHAT ON EARTH!

Thank you. Its not SNL, not completely her new sound, its the no promotion or hype. Labels are getting lazy. Poor videos, poor album covers/photoshoots. Its all because they aren't getting money from albums sales.
It's kind of like Christina. She went from her debut album at 8m, which was pure teen pop, then Stripped dropped hard only selling 4m, which could be considered pop/soul/R&B, then "Back 2 Basics" sold less than 2m, which was pretty much all pop/R&B with the exception of songs on Cd2.
Add on her waiting 3 years, then 4 years, between each album. I believe thats why people like Britney released an album every year, to stay in the spotlight, and not suffer from sales. Including her being well-known/popular.

Well I loveee BW more than I Am Me, I'm so sticky with Hot Stuff, hope Ashlee and Papa Joe are planning something maybe Ashlee should leave US and find her public in another place. Little Miss Obsessive debuts in Hot 100 at the position # 96 and it's obviously that the next week it will fall. I can't wait to see more tour dates!

Ashlee Simpson has denied online reports that she and her fiancee Pete Wentz are set to star in a new series of 'Newlyweds', the show that helped re-launch her sister's career.
Ok! magazine is reporting an unknown 'source' as saying that Simpson's father and manager Joe "knows that no-one cared about Jessica before her reality show, and he’s hoping a show for Ashlee will have the same effect."
The MTV reality show propelled Jessica and her then-husband, Nick Lachey, into the limelight, and helped them to re-establish their musical careers.
However, Simpson's representative, who been busy denying stories of a pregnancy for the couple lately, has also denied that they will launch a new series of the show.

Despite a 61% decline in sales, Mariah Carey's Island Def Jam set "E=MC2" remains atop The Billboard 200 for a second straight week. The album, the diva's sixth No. 1, moved 182,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. British singer Leona Lewis' "Spirit" (Syco/J) follows suit, staying put at No. 2 in its second week with 96,000 and a 1% sales increase.
Parody musical duo Flight Of The Conchords' self-titled full-length debut bows at No. 3 with 52,000. The Sub Pop album comes on the heels of "The Distant Future" EP, released in October, which reached No. 116 on The Billboard 200. This is the Seattle indie label's highest-charting title since the Shins' "Wincing the Night Away" bowed at No. 2 in February 2007.
With 47,000 copies, Ashlee Simpson's "Bittersweet World" (Geffen) debuts at No. 4, her first album not to take the No. 1 spot on the chart. Her first two albums, 2004's "Autobiography" and 2005's "I Am Me," both started at No. 1.
Hip-hop artist Atmosphere easily scores his best sales and chart week ever as "When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Sh*t Gold" (Rhymesayers) starts at No. 5 with 36,000. His previous charting high-water mark came from 2005's "You Can't Imagine How Much Fun We're Having," which peaked at No. 66. "When Life..." also becomes the highest-charting album for the Rhymesayers label; the previous best was, again, Atmosphere's stop at No. 66.
The multi-label "NOW 27" compilation slips 5-6 with 32,000 (-17%), while the Rhino soundtrack to "Juno" bounces back 8-7 with 31,000 (-2%). George Strait's "Troubadour" (MCA Nashville) falls 6-8 with 29,000, a 24% dip. Taylor Swift's self-titled Big Machine set climbs 10-9 with a 9% sales loss to 27,000.
Country singer Phil Vassar ties his previous charting best with his first Universal South album "Prayer of a Common Man" at No. 10; the set sold 27,000. His 2006 "Greatest Hits" collection also achieved the same peak. Sales of this set are fueled by his new single "Love is a Beautiful Thing," which continues to climb the Hot Country Songs chart and currently sits at No. 5.
Story Of The Year has the next biggest debut on The Billboard 200 as "The Black Swan" (Epitaph) starts with 21,000 at No. 18, one slot better than the No. 19 debut of its 2005 album "In the Wake of Determination." Other debuts this week include California-by-way-of-Boston duo the Weepies' "Hideaway" (Nettwerk) at No. 31 with 14,000 and rapper Prodigy's "H.N.I.C. Pt. 2" (AAO Music) at No. 36 with 13,000.
Album sales this week are down 8% from last week's sum with 6.87 million units and down 11% from the same week last year.

PW: "Sharing a bathroom with a girl is awesome 'cause I'm just like, 'Oh I'll try this thing.' I honestly don't really know what most of the stuff I use is. I did a facial [mask] today. I think the eye hole went over my nose. I don't buy those kinds of products [as gifts for Ashlee] cause I'm nervous I'm gonna screw up – she likes La Mer only."
AS: "You buy me good jewelry. And you bought me a good Dior bag the other day that I loved."
PW: "I was spending a lot of money at Dior so I kind of like –"
AS: "You were like, 'I feel guilty! I'll get something for her.' He's the best at surprising me. He always does little things here and there that surprise me."
On the Infamous 'Guyliner' Look
PW: "I don't really wear it anymore. The culmination of it was [when I was in the] PEOPLE [World's Most Beautiful People ] last year. And it was like, 'Oh, everybody expects me to wear eyeliner all the time.' So I was like, 'Maybe I should.' I like how my eyes look with eyeliner, but everyone was like, 'There's the eyeliner and the guy that goes with the eyeliner!' and I was like, 'Alright.' Maybe I should just go against what people think."
AS: "It's good if a guy can look good with it or without it. That's why you're good-looking, babe. You don't need anything."
PW: "I also happened to wear red eyeshadow as eyeliner and people would just, like 100 percent of the time, were like, 'Ah he looks really sick.' Like, that's the only response."
AS: "I like it, though. I think it's pretty."
