but to be honest, i don't mean to be a negative naaaancy but that's more wishful thinking than anything else, is it? cause CYL had some decent promo here & there plus a lush, amazingly cinematic music video (all three singles have had that, actually...)
there's only so much they can do/spend on an artist who was filming webcam freestyles not too long ago, and that's the harsh truth.
the reason i believe they keep pushing for this g0rl (besides her looks and the 'oh shhh she's actually a talented rapper' factor) is that despite the lack of chart success, she has been able to build up a pretty damn solid fanbase in very little time. that's valuable, and that sell$ albums in the long run-- which might explain why they keep delaying the alberm drop. they know Azaleans will purchase it, but if they can strike while the iron is hot (viral/moderate hit with the GP), then ka-ching-- she's commercially established.
but that hasn't happened yet after three sizeable attempts. so, i hate to say it, but if Fancy flops really hard (it...... might), then they might stop backing her up with such impressive budgets
