I feel your pain! After being skinny for a long time, I put on a bit of weight over Christmas (nearly 1 stone!)
However, I've nearly lost it all now
People always say "this diet works" or "this eating plan works", I just did it the good old fashioned way. Cut my calorie in take down quite a lot, and learnt the difference between being genuinely hungry, and just feeling nourish. Here's some tips...
-Avoid snacking (especially at night). If you are genuinely hungry in between meals, eat something light like a piece of fruit or cracker.
- Drink tons of water (and I literally mean tons). Not only does it speed up your metabolism, but thirst if often mistaken for hunger.
- Chug back a big glass of water before you eat (or whenever you feel hungry), as this can curb your appetite, which means eating less.
- Avoid any junk food like the plague. Although I love chocolate, I've had to cut it out completely at the moment. And trust me, it sounds painful, but once you actually see a difference with weight, you're never tempted to eat bad foods.
- Cut down (or cut out!) caffeine. Instead of tea/coffee, I've been drinking green tea. Which is not only great for your diet, but great for your skin. Win.
Good luck! Just be sensible and the weight will soon fall off you.
