this thread is a waste of time... and it doesn't even make sense. Timbaland brought new life into her and definitely helped her career!

I think she just wants to do an album in every single genre. After country she'll probably want to do an opera album.

Folklore is probably her most genuine, honest piece of work and you can tell she truly put a lot of PASSION into that album. I won't rule anything out about a country album -- it seems like something that she's been truly wanting to do.

The country comment isn't what throws me off, but the "refusal". It just makes it seem like Nelly said "**** you" along with her career, and i know she wouldn't do that.

Country? Sounds interesting.
Folklore is her best album.

This doesn't sound very good for her .. but I think it's a wise move. Sooner or later she 'll have to try something else, she can't stick to timbaland for her whole life. Let's wait and see if she succeeds with what she's doing.

Let's assume this is true.. why would some people here consider her decision as "biting hands"? She's an ARTIST and she's supposed to explore music. Just because Timbaland made her a hit record doesn't mean she needs to work as a slave for him for the rest of her career. It's better for her since people are going to compare every song she does with him again with her songs from Loose and bitch about how they're not as good.

^Truly agree
That's why I love her <3 She's always trying to experiment with new sounds... I don't matter if it's flops.. That's the case with Folklore, was a really great album, the best of her carrer... Anyway, I'm excited for new sounds Bring It On!

I'd go for a country album if I was her, and forget Timbaland. She was popular without him in the past, and I think she can do it in the future. Besdies, it's not always about Timbaland as he's bound to flop with something sooner or later.

Folklore was absolutely her BEST thing in her music journey, she was so mature, so free, so deep, she had said " i just want to make a deeper album, more mature, some serious stuff, different with whoa nelly, it was a party album, a spirit, Folklore is What i call music ", so i guess after the BIG PARTY of Loose, she decide to go back to some serious stuff anymore, i love country, canada, the place where she belongs to, has alot of great country singers, i just love her FolkPop work, but yeah i'd go with Country, yupe of course than stay with big fat Timbaland!

And to follow it up, Timbaland had a big 2007 so he could possibly end up with a not as big 2008....so she milked him for what it's worth, now it's time for her to follow her own path.
