I'm honestly surprised that sales receipts are the first thing we pull out when we want to drag another user? Talent is subjective, so it makes it ten times more interesting to debate.
They believe her fave is bigger than anyone in the world just because the sales. And they believe that they are superior to another fan base just because her fave is selling well with it's current era.
They feel safe when her fave is selling well. Otherwise they stop being stans.
Yes but that's not necessary a bad thing.
There are many albums I decided to check out because of how well they were selling and ended up discovering great new music. Sales matter but it shouldn't be the only focus.
Girl no one is checking 24/7, never saw a thread like this so I made one. I'm sure there are others who haven't seen it as well and would be happy to discuss it.

My thing is when people start stanning for sales to the point where it becomes unhealthy. Like, let's remember that you aren't the artist. Have a seat.
So when you use sales it shows as a whole more people subjectively 'liked' something enough to buy it. When people don't buy something, you can subjectively say a population doesn't 'like' it or at least like it enough to spend hard earned money on it.
I mean its a debate whether you to make high quality music that no one wants to listen to, or normal quality that most of the population can connect to.
