For one, Beyonce is her team.... have you not read the statements of her making them stay up till odd hours until the work is done?
And you make it sound like it was an impossible idea to conceive. All she did was create songs she liked and made a video for each one. Like she did for B'Day. The only thing different this time was her starpower is through the roof.
It can be argued that her work on BEYONCÉ is much more complex and artistic than what she did with B'Day. Maybe other people had more input on this album than on B'Day.
Doesn't matter if it was Death Grips who came up with it, or not.
I mean, Dada and them came up with Lady Gaga herself............
It doesn't matter, but it's still cool to know imo. She literally did the same thing! And I agree on the Gaga comment to an extent. I believe Gaga had a vision of her own as well, but she clearly had help.
How would I know? I don't listen to them or keep up with them.
I was pleasantly surprised when I looked that up! MM is on it's way to being 1.5 million sold and it was released in November. Poor Rihanna.
I think, despite my interest in pop music and pop culture fading away, the only thing that occurred in the past year that I'm still blown away by is the fact that Beyonce came up with something really really brilliant that none has ever done before, and her being the one understanding the essence of "ARTPOP" by doing this visual album thing. Meanwhile, Gaga delivered absolutely nothing new, and got ARTPOPPED in every way possible by Beyonce, & M!ley.
Only the surprise digital-only release was incredible, and the reason it even passed 1.5 million in total sales. The music is nothing new, only one interesting song (Haunted), the only thing people like about it is that it's so filthy, the old "sex sells". So desperate for success that she turned to that old trope. Katy delivering yet another era of smash hits was much more difficult to achieve. She and Emeli have been by far the most impressive pop girls in recent times.

Their's literally NOTHING I find interesting about the girls anymore. Bey is really the only who's remotely interesting to me. Aside from Britney, Miley & the occasional Rih/Katy, I really don't care for their music anymore And I hate to sound like iHype, but urban has really been taking over my iTunes. The whole concept of stanning has become so played out to me
I kinda agree. But thats probably because all of the girls music wasnt that great last year. Miley was pretty interesting because of all the controversy but her album wasnt anything special. Katy had great success with her singles but Prism is pure trash compared to TD and the album only has 3-4 good songs. The same thing can be said about Britney Jean but without the success of the singles. I personally loved ARTPOP but after her underwhelming sales the era didnt seem to move along at all. Beyonce was the only pop girl to try something new and exciting with her album and the quality of the music was great too even though I personally didnt enjoy it that much.
Maybe this year will be better.
1D are only selling maybe a couple hundred more copies than Emeli already? this time tomorrow, OVOE may already be outselling MM. They're frontloaded fads.
I mean yes, there's nothing new under the sun. But she brought it to the mainstream, and it couldn't have been a more brilliant strategy and marketing plan.
Gaga brought ABSOLUTELY nothing new with ARTPOP, not marketing-wise, not when it comes to the quality, "artistic content", visually, musically, nothing
All the questions when a bitch can just shift to Youtube and watch the ****ing videos of her in the studio creating the album.
Not to mention the directors who spoke about her #secretprojectLily and how she came up with treatments, she would record a song, shoot the video, tweak song a bit, tweak video a bit... It was an all-effort kinda thing. And all while she was on tour. I get why people call this bitch a robot. Like what kinda legend!
