Rihanna is being sued by a photographer over similarities between his work and her video for 'S&M', the Daily Mail reports.
Philipp Paulus, a 22-year-old photographer from Germany, claims portions of the video for Rihanna's 2010 single were copied from his fashion photography series, Paperworld. He originally launched legal action against the singer and her record company, Universal Music Group, who produced the video, in 2011.
Now Paulus has now filed for damages and for an injunction. His lawyer, copyright specialist Philip Jakober, told a court in Stuttgart, Germany, where the case is being heard, that the record label had admitted there were similarities between the two bodies of work but had not made an acceptable offer to settle the matter out of court.
