I was kinda hoping the MV should have an extreme dance routine on it especially when the beat drop like the Step Up movie.

i really don't think she's trying to sabotage this. she's playing her cards very well - the girl's very aware of how the pop game works, she just gets it.
GP is not here for TOTGA/Uncle/Thinking Of You kinds of videos from her, even Wide Awake was very playful/in-character despite the song. I'm glad she didn't go the obvious route with the whole witchy vibe, we ALREADY got that. this just seems more interesting/ potentially KP-iconic.
I agree, but she also needs to throw out songs like those every once in a while, even if they underperform, cuz it opens up her options in the long term.

I honestly love the preview. Katy has been continually transforming since the beginning of her career, she has a lot of time to explore different ways of expressing her art.
