So basically now people with popular youtube accounts will be able to charge you if you want to watch their videos

If people are willing to pay to watch someone else talk about living their lives then they really need to take a step back and reevaluate themselves. Likewise for those who actually believe they should charge their fans to view their crappy 5 minute videos.
