It doesnt have to be unrelated. The is no research avaible on this topic yet, but it's not unlikely the stress of being LGBT can bring forward the development of schizophrenia. There are also studies showing a higher depression risk for gay man.

One of my cousins (who is technically considered my uncle because his parents are a generation before my parents, but they had four kids really late in life, so by the time he was born he was the same age as me) is bisexual/gay, idk which exactly, he goes out with girls but he is not opposed to fooling around with guys. I know this because we used to jerk off together when we were younger and I once gave him a blowjob.

And his older brother, idk what he is either because he dates girls as well, but there was a time when he was living with us while going to college, and he didn't have a laptop at that time so he would borrow mine sometimes, and once when I got it back I saw he had a **** folder on my hard drive so I looked through it and he forgot to delete a video so I clicked it and saw it was a videoclip about chicks with dicks. The clip had a guy banging a girl and then he bent down and sucked her erection. I have no ****ing idea what that says about him tho.

My one cousin just came out but I always knew.

My 19 yr niece is a lesbian and my cousin (his grandpa and mine were brothers) is gay.

I'm aware of the fact that homosexuality does appear to carry an increased risk of developing schizophrenia (as does having a family member with schizophrenia, so yay for me), but when I was a kid I thought my uncle's being gay and his schizophrenia went hand in hand or that they were the same thing.

I'm gay, my uncle and two of my cousins are in the closet.
