James Bond is a white character though, he always has been, even before the movies.
The Bond girls are the ones that change and there have been multiple raced girls, including black.

Anyway, it'd be best for this not to happen. It's not James Bond (still worth mentioning), but a lot of Spider-Man fans got upset about Spider-Man being black and gay in an alternate universe. Just imagine the meltdowns if James Bond was played by a black actor. There are some fanboys who think Storm isn't even black and that Halle shouldn't be playing her.

So making him black (or any other race) would change absolutely nothing else about him.

Of course having a man of different race wouldn't change anything serious, but the Bond movies have always stayed true to the physical description that was given to him in the original novels. It's nothing racist or ignorant, it's just a role that calls for a specific look.

But really, who cares? It's an adaptation. He's been played by seven different actors. Why couldn't he be black for a couple of movies?
