Suspected Cake Burglar Caught Thanks to Facebook Post
San Luis Obispo Police say 44 year-old Shea Patrick Martin stole a chocolate cake from the display case at the Madonna Inn Coffee Shop last Saturday night.
The burglary was caught on camera and the security video was posted on Facebook.
When police went to Martin's home in Morro Bay, they say he ran away.
Investigators say he later admitted to stealing the cake.
Police say the Madonna Inn wants Martin prosecuted for stealing the cake, so officers will be submitting a report to the District Attorney's Office.
