I applaud Madonna for when she got raunchy, cause she changed after that. Janet has kept that record spinning for the last 3 albums. She's not taking risks or anything, she's just doing the same stuff. When you do that, people lose interest. Mariah I guess can do it cause she can make hits and is A LOT more commercial.

I completely agree! I don't understand why Janet doesn't change. She used to reinvent herself with every album. It's like she's a different person than who she was before. And that's not a compliment.
The looks are there, and the dancing, but right now, she seems like a hollow caricature of who she used to be. She says, when referring to the media bashing her about her sex songs, that she's "always done that."
Well, THAT's the problem. You HAVE always done that, Ms. Jackson, so it's time to stop. Not to mention the fact that, in albums before 2001, the sexiness was second, with the overall pretense of the album taking the spotlight. This time around, there isn't any other pretense. It's just sex, sex, sex. And finally--it has nothing to do with you having done it before. It's because you're 41 and STILL doing it when you should be at the peak of your creativity and showing younger girls how to make real music.
Don't I sound silly, "talking" to her? I wish I could tell her all this. I would if I ever met her, without thinking twice, unless the "starstruck"-ness didn't wear off.
Let's not even talk about other talents like songwriting, producing and playing instruments.
