Alot of people say The Emancipation of Mimi is such a masterpiece but I feel it's an album that isn't very cohesive but carries 14 fine crafted songs placed randomly together . Almost like a NOW! That's What I Call Mariah!

E=MC2 imo was just 13 radio ready crafted songs (leaving out "I Wish You Well"). Nothing special about them, but most are cute bops.

Glitter was a great throwback and carries some of her most infectious work but it's ultimately forgettable.

Charmbracelet... is well...

I THINK Mariah Carey's best 2000's album is Memoirs because its cohesive in sound , theme, and though it didn't deliver on the personal side of her life like she promised, I feel it's her best album since Butterfly. BUT I will say that there's no real climactic track here like her other albums. It just flows and keeps flowing, but its a trait her other albums lack, sans Daydream and Butterfly.

I thought MOAIA was a great album. A little too slow but overall great.

The fact that she missed the OBVIOUS smash in "Standing O" is kinda sad. That song was a surefire hit. She sang the HELL outta it & the theme of the song was something EVERYONE could relate to. The video could've been a drama piece chronicling her time with Tommy Motola!

I'd have put money on that song being her 19th #1!

"Standing O" ALWAYS deserved lead single treatment. And when "I Want To KNow What Love Is" was second single, all hope was lost

Definitely TEOM. It's a bit overrated but it eclipses her other 2000's albums by far.

TEOM is her best except for some really awful tracks. I think she is worst vocally on Memoirs.

Glitter. It has the best ballads: Never Too Far, Lead the Way, etc. The vocals are A+++, a lot better than in any of her albums in that decade.

Angel (Prelude) alone makes Memoirs her best album of the 2000's.

Emancipation > Memoirs > E=MC2 > Charmbracelet > Glitter

I have to put Emancipation first because it's such a wonderful collection of songs, despite it not being as cohesive an album as it could be. The goods song are great, and it has so many of them.
Memoirs is a close second.
E=MC2 is a more playful version of TEOM.
Charmbracelet is very difficult to get into compared to the rest of Mariah's catalogue. The songs are not fun or catchy, and her vocals are understated and often lost in the whispery mess. However if you're in the right mood for these kinds of songs and can appreciate the songs' structure and lyrics without falling asleep Charmbracelet is quite enjoyable.
Glitter has great ballads and a few cute uptempos, but it's definitely her weakest overall as an album.

Memoirs, for sure. It's some of her best work ever.
