Maybe you need a bit of a history lesson.
In 2007 Beyonce released the B'Day Anthology Video Album which contained a music video for every song on her album except one, but with three additional videos. When interviewed about it, she said she was excited to see if it changes the way people do things in the industry. (Apparently it didn't as she was the next popstar to follow in her own shoes).
So to answer your question: where do I think Beyonce got her idea from? Not Gaga.
And anyway, this isn't a totally groundbreaking idea. People have either flirted with ir or did it to a lesser scale before, it's just that Beyonce totally owned it with her's.
