The instrumental is perfection start to finish.

But then you have the lyrics, which I think people took too seriously (myself included). It's actually pretty comical and 'fun,' which is I thought we all wanted from her. The final bridge is so stupid, but so quotable at the same time. Actually all the lyrics in the song are like this

But it is hard for people to see the zany side to the song because of Gaga's serious persona. Time to loosen up Gaga

One thing is for sure: Venus would have translated well if we first heard it while watching its video.
