There are two different, yet official Last.fm apps on iOS, though.
One is just a regular Last.fm app (which I assume you have - just the Android version) and then there is the "Scrobbler for iOS" which is an app that you keep open in the background and it syncs the songs you play on your phone.

Although I have to say that I am not aware of the existence of that app for Android. So basically - get another phone.

Or move to another country.

The choice is yours.
