I consistently add pasta etc to water before I turn on the stove. It's like a curse and I never learn.

This guy came in with his wife one day, and asked where the dresses were, and I said "for men or for women?"
Luckily he laughed, and I just played it off really well.

Oh My God
I know that feeling.
At my work, I would work on drive-thru. I would serve the guys at the drive-thru window and take the orders for drive-thru on the front counter.
After lunch we would swap, and every single time without fail I would take an order and the front counter, and then suddenly say "drive-thru please" and completely dis-regard the person standing in front of me, realize what I'd said, turn around and just try to laugh it off after I've just come across as the rudest person

Oh
I remember doing **** like this for my stuff. But recently I wrote my name in permanent marker on my old iPhone because I was going to schoolies and so writing my home phone plus name was important incase it went missing.
And I was getting a new phone soon anyway so I didn't care.
But I wrote it on the front without realizing because it was like 3am. So in silver marker "JACK" and my number was on my screen and it wouldn't come off so two days before schoolies I had to get the screen replaced and then my budget for schoolies went down like $90 :/ Sahhhhh SMRT

Oh I've done this. But not really the same.
I knew a guy who had a younger brother and sister. But I went to his house and saw a family portrait and saw his parents, his younger brother (sister wasn't born yet) and some older boy. I asked who the boy was and he couldn't answer me (he knew, it just suddenly seemed like a lot of pain came to him). So I let it go.
Next day came again, looked at some other photos in his room and saw and a guy on his shelf (no other photos on the shelf next to his bed) and they looked a bit older but I didn't realize it was the same guy. I asked "oh who is this?" and he just stumbled again. But this time he just left the room, and then he just disappeared (he lived on a farm) so I just left
I felt so bad. I texted him and he said it was fine, it's just he's never been able to talk about it. I still don't know to this day if it was a brother who left, or died? It still makes me wonder.
