Someone contacted a member on here and said he saw the list and that Adele was on it (he didn't mention others) and was interested but had to back out so the list was likely accurate.
It was never a confirmed list. Just a list of names they wanted for it.
lmao at those tweets. those are uptight,self-righteous,pretentious Beatles stans they will DRAG any skilled female vocalist who tries to cover the Beatles. i mean they even dragged Carrie Underwood (who is a better vocalist than all of the members of the Beatles combined) but hey, them bitching on twitter won't change the fact that they are 40 year old virgins who live in their mom's basements with massive stretchmarks on their legs while they try to balance holding donuts, pringles and moaning about Katy Perry on twitter. she was being dragged for being 'Katy Perry'. a mainstream FEMALE pop star. not for her vocal skills which were very good imo.
Damn, this is really bad. Beatles stans are misogynistic, messy, and all together usually not pleasant, but for this performance I understand where they're coming from
It was bad. My family watched the special last night and they were cringing at how awful she sounded. It has nothing to do with her being a female pop star... It just wasn't good.

of course it's the issue. they will have no issue when a male singer covers the beatles but when a female covers it (Carrie,Katy) they will throw a hissy fit. they are misogynistic, sexist pigs and that's been that way from the beginning.. that's why Beatles fans are hated. and dont even try to say that it was awful because she hit every damn note goddammit.
Yesterday is a whingey song, a great one, but whingey. There's not really a different way to sing it. Katy's lower register is very breathy, which is something you either like or dislike probably. She transitioned into the high notes well from what I heard so there's no need for fuss. She did fine.

Lol calm down, the world isn't over. It was bad. Case closed. Move along now.
You can't win when performing a Beatles song. Katy actually sounds better than she does usually, it was nice.
Carrie Underwood got trashed for this song just a few months ago. Beatles fans just think they're superior to everyone else for some reason. They're like the Monsters of the 60s.
