I have yet to see the Christmas special but I thought this season was a little underwhelming and lacked a significant arc.
They could have gone a lot further with Anna's rape storyline, Lady Edith's pregnancy & Lady Rose's interracial affair etc

I kinda agree, but at the same time, I feel like this was the most enjoyable season since the first.
One thing that bothered me
is that there was no development in Thomas and Jimmy's friendship. They spent a lot of time at the end of S3 building up to it, and they only had like one brief scene (with dialogue) in all of S4.
I'm also getting a bit tired of the Mr Moseley plotlines.
I enjoy the fact that Rose and Rosamond were very present in this season.

Finally caught up with Season 4. This show is amazing and deserves more recognition in the US.
