A player with an interesting background creates hype and interest from the general public and teams who are currently struggling with funds and selling or currently dont have a franchise player, someone to build their team around will snatch up someone who is highly supported or gaining interest in the public. Its the same thing with Tim Tebow a while back.

This will actually hurt his draft prospects and he will drop down. Many NFL teams are not prepared for this type of media attention and will pass up on him, not wanting to deal with this. I expect teams from major media markets like NY or California etc. to take him because they are more prepared and used to it. BTW, dropping down in the draft will get him less money guaranteed in his contract.

I have to add that he will be picked up in the last rounds by a team. He was being projected as a mid-round draft pick and every player that has won the SEC defensive player of the year has been drafted in the top rounds. A team will see him fall in the draft and they will snatch him up because he will be a bargain steal. He's too good of a player to let him go to free agency.
