Mary J Blige sold 600k on the first week with a single that didn't even crack into the top 20 and almost no promo unlike mariah that's being everywhere in the media.

Oh you know what, i just realized mariah isn't a great first week seller. The Emancipation only sold 400k in the first week and ended up selling 6 million. And it was her highest first week seller so this could be a record for her.

^Also, MJB's album was released on the Holiday season, so that also counted towards her huge sales Talking about her, what happened? Will she never release a second single? LOL

Yeah she's crazy, she recorded a music video for Work that but it's not out yet. And she was meant to release Hurt Again as a single too. I don't know what happened.

Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys and Celine Dion's management has been pretty bad and lazy.

It has taken them years to release a second or 3rd single. It must be because they sold too much already.

I predict Mariah will open with 535,000-555,000.

Nah Mariah always starts off small with a debut but she's really consistent with her sales.

Maybe it will be like "Touch My Body", peak in the first week with good sales and drop down the charts. I dont see another "TEOM" year long plus seller. She'll quickly go 2X platinum and fall off.

I dont think this will be a TEOM pt. 2 with her album run, she may end up with 2.5-3.5 million in the end.
