I don't think she's changed all that much to be honest.
The whole point of her leaving was because she has grown SO MUCH and going from a battered frightened housewife to a stone cold survivor willing to do anything to make it through the next day and save those she holds dear.
Honestly I think her character's focus will shift towards the revelation of the sisters and their downward spiral.
I think it's so funny she'll be paired up with Tyrese most likely considering they were a couple in the comics lol.
