I recently had an argument with my dad about internet usage and social media. He blamed sites like Facebook for my not knowing what career/college major I want to pursue, saying I should be going out and discovering myself instead of talking to my friends about nonsense all the time. I told him that was a stupid argument because I couldn't rush such a monumental decision and it wasn't like his generation never had fun and only talked about their future plans all the time when they interacted in real life. We ended the night on a bad note and the next morning he approached me and said I was right
lol. Our current generation is more stressed than ever when it comes to education. Technology hasn't made it any easier, it's just changed how we do it.
My dad constantly complains and blames every single bad grade I get on me spending too much time on the internet
My mom rarely says anything about it tho.
