I live in Malaysia. In our country we have a program called Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery like most other Asian countries. The program only requires 5 years to complete medicine. Most students here entered medical school at age 18 after completing A-Level.

They're like the American AP's (although much harder I've heard). I currently do 4 A-Levels; Biology, Psychology, History and Physics. Next year (A2) I plan on dropping Physics.

I see but its not actually 10 years. Here in South Korea it will take 6-7 years only. But do not worry about the years, assess yourself and your interest first before you decide and everything will be fine.

I cant decide either. I really wanna study Psychology but there are some many people who (want to) study psychology here, that you wont get a (good) job and i want to enjoy my life aka $$$.

And I didnt even think about film directing even though im making a short movie right now nnnn;

Dont know if I can study that here in Austria tho.

Why do I stan for things where you dont earn much

My plan b is to study economy.

And for you, like the people above said i feel like the healt care field in general is a good plan b idk

It's almost funny, everyone as a freshmen is so eager to say they're getting into medicine and going on to be a doctor or surgeon, but so many of those students drop it, realize they can't do it, or straight up can't get in because it's so arduous to do so.

My advice: if you want to go into medicine, make sure you really want to go into it. Don't waste your time and effort if it's not something you love. You will have to work hard for it.

I'm really good at biology/chemistry tbh and I am interested in it but I don't feel like studying THAT much. I'd like to study something related to biology for 5/6 years and be an artist during free time. Do you think that's possible?

I don't know where you live but here in England you can do joint degrees? E.g. this.

Rule # 1 to do medicine is to be very good in Biology/Chemistry. However, you also need to have a very thick skin when you do medicine as a medical student always faces failure. Plus you should be able to handle pressure well since most of the time the surgeon will yell at you if you did anything wrong during clinical course. Believe me surgeon is the last person you want to work with in the hospital even though some of them are nice.

Oooooookay: Cambridge (the CIE) is the exam board but you can't literally have done ONE A-level because a) Medicine A-Level doesn't exist and b) no med school would allow ONE A-level

Yup here we call it as A Level for Medicine if you plan to take A Level and continue with medicine afterwards. I took Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics for subjects. It's conducted by Cambridge. We had to get straight As to acquire scholarship in medical school. But that was long ago and I am happy to be medical student now

Edit: Here we can enter medical program (MBBS) if we scored straight As for A Level though
