Nikka Costa has a really original and soulful voice. She's a joss stone sortof, so not so similar, but she does sound different and with a whole different style.

haha. I'll admit SOME of her material is hot. I happened to hate half the CD, & think the other half was just ok. While I loved the bonus track "Who I Am" ... but that doesn't take away from the fact that her music is autotuned to DEATH.

Anyway, back on Vanessa... I really hope there's better material like the two clips I heard. Because "Sneaker Night" is a disappointment.

That is so right. I've listen to it like a couple of times already. Tried so hard to get it stuck in my head but there's not enough Ooomph to the song. I know she's trying to head into a new musical direction but it's a bad 1ST single.

Wish i fell in love with it the first time like i did with Say Ok. That song stuck in my head for like a year already. Still can't wait for her FULL album to leak.

I'm listening to it for the first time right now, and it's not as bad as most are making it out to be. I expected something terrible, but it's slightly catchy, if not hit single material.

Sorry, But I seriously don't like the single at all... I listened to it, and I don't like anything about it... Nothing stood out to me. I really loved her last album though so I think that there will be better songs on there. I will buy it. I can't wait to hear the one Hilary Duff wrote!!!! I really like the title of the CD also! I can't wait to see the cover!

Unfortuntely the song Hilary Duff wrote got scarpped for sounding different from the overall sound of the record.
I heard that Hilary recorded before the label gave it to Vanessa and V also recorded it so I'm intrested in hearing both versions.

And I'm also excited to see what the album cover is gonna look like but not as much as the excitement for the actual album

Getting the album artwork and promo's is always very exciting to me too.
