The Proving Stereotypes Wrong thread
The modern world is full of untrue and biased stereotypes about races, genders, countries, etc. Here is the place to prove those who stereotype people wrong with evidence, real-life accounts, or pure logic.

Rich people are spoiled, annoying, rude, snobbish, etc.: Every level on the socio-economic level has a wide-range of people and personalities, so every level would have unlikeable people. Secondly, many wealthier people donate and start foundations (though often celebrities) that help other people.

Asians have small eyes: First of all, Asia refers to the whole continent. This stereotype is directed at Eastern Asian people (Chinese, Japanese, etc.). There are actually quite a few Asians I have seen who have eyes as big, if not bigger, than non-Asians. In fact, many Eastern-Europeans have quite small eyes / more almond-shaped eyes. This stereotype is not always true, but in addition, not bad. Who said having small eyes was bad? It is as random as stereotyping people with slightly smaller fingers or feet, etc.

Germans, British, Canadians, Scandinavians, are aloof: It is hard to stereotype a whole
population. While to some experiences, we may be aloof, there are many different people. We do not necessarily want to bother other people and nose into someone’s business. And what is the point of a small conversation if you’re never going to talk to them / see them again. Some people value closer relationships than maybe friendliness to all, but not necessarily closeness to any.

Canadians? Aloof? Never heard that one.

Really? I'm pretty sure this stereotype comes from Americans, who in my experience expect everyone to warm up to people in a split second, and talk about their sex-life with strangers.

I don't drink a lot of alcohol. (I do love potatoes tho so I fit that stereotype )

Canadians don't say eh. And we don't have that weird accent you see on American TV shows (saying things like "aboot", and "oot")
