According to some members, though, having diamond certified albums does not make you a legend. Some members even think that sales in general have nothing to do with whether you are a legend or not. But, it seems to me that most of the people that we consider legends today (Madonna, The Beatles, Michael, etc) have Diamond certified albums, but maybe it is just a coincidence...

No tea, no shade, but diamond is an antiquated achievement. Very few albums will ever see that kind of success again and that's not discrediting those who have, but most of these are almost 20 years old now... So yeah that's amazing, but that was a different era. So as long as you ain't coming in here using Paula Abdul's discography and some country singer nobody gives 2 phux's about, to try and shade a different generations achievements.

I definitely agree that it is a lot harder to do, but I wouldn't call it antiquated. Usher was able to do it in 2004, Outkast was able to do it in 2003, and Adele was able to do it in 2011. Like I said, I agree that it is a lot harder, but it is definitely not impossible.
