Mariah's high notes are always mimed, it's almost like she's trying to fool the world that she can sing, I don't agree with it and I don't think it's justified, especially because she's known for her vocal abilities and she doesn't dance at all on stage, I find her lipsync particularly embarrassing.
We all saw how she sounded live with Miguel, it was pure comedy.

Not true. Why she lipsynced the notes on Beautiful is confusing but GMA was live. And she sung the art of letting gos high notes on Jimmy Fallon. Theyre not as good as they were 20 years ago but she will forever sing, write, and be more creative than ur fave.

I hate when its done by any of my female faves bcos my male faves can do hard choreo and sing live at the same time. Especially if they hardly dance, its beyond disappointing.
No, it can not be justified. If you are a SINGER than your occupation is literally just to SING. If your job is to sing, you need to sing.
Edit: People saying it's justified because of dancing? I personally think that you should dance as much as you can while still singing. Singing is the #1 most important thing.
