Oh but by the way, this had nothing to do with sexuality! I don't know where you're all getting that idea from. The judges said they were distracted because they didn't like that he was trying to impress them by being a contradictory lyric. NOTHING to do with being gay/straight/etc etc. Don't be desperate.
He wasn't trying to impress them by being contradictory. JLo called it BIZARRE that a boy would sing about wanting to know how boys feel. BIZARRE that a boy sang that he didn't know what it feels to love a girl.
It had EVERYTHING to do with sexuality. Changing the lyrics made it clear that he wasn't hetero-normatively identified and that was "bizarre" for JLo and that sucks.

Same. I am glad Christina took the risk to join the show - and it paid off. They don't belittle the contestants and instead, applaud them, for going against the "norm" or mainstream. The show promotes equality.
