so, as you would expect, me and practically the whole school saw PROM NIGHT last night. it was a pretty good scare. not one of the GREATEST movies, but I think i enjoyed it more than I would have because it's MY final prom and when they kept talking about how 'that was it.' it made me really kinda get choked up..
none the less, it was a good little fun scary movie...
I can see why they made this a PG-13, cause obviously teens would check it out. Regardless of its weak blood scenes, it'll make money. I've learned my lessons from seeing PG-13 horrors, but this doesn't look as bad as "When A Stranger Calls" or "The Messengers".
There haven't been any teens horror movies lately, so I'm gonna watch this one, cause I'm hunger for one, but I know it'll be bad and lame though, especially with the PG-13 thing, ugh, but don't care. I like Brittany Snow, well, kinda.
I've seen the 80's version of this a couple of times in the past, I might go see this remake, I don't know yet, I just don't want it to suck, you know horror flicks can be & + it's another horror movie remake, so i'm not sure
It's nothing like the original (which was a great 80s slasher, though it felt more 70s).
I'd say it was alright. Better than When A Stranger Calls/One missed Call/and dozens of other PG-13 "horror films". But still lacking anything special.
....i'll wait for the unrated dvd version.
