Not 4/20? Feels like a missed opportunity.

So what's happening here? Does the DWUW video like not exist? And no idea for the next single?

I have a feeling she didn't like the video, also didn't like it as a single, and has moved on. Like I guess we should all do. Goodnight beautiful, beautiful song. You'll be the next asterisk in her career - the single that got away.

At least that song peaked at #3, a number we probably won't see this era

I remember the days when she could have released Jewels N Drugs or Teeth and it would have gone straight to #1 as long as there was a great and accessible music video attached. Now she releases iconic and mesmerizing songs like Do What U Want and Marry The Night that never break the top ten.
At least we have top ten hit Dope.

Not really, not even a Bey collab gave Gaga a #1 hit but hey, at least her singles could break the top 5 easily, and the lower half of the top 10 was our definition of an underperformance. Now we're lucky if her songs get to the top 10. TEOG could've been #1 if it would've been the second single, she would've probably had an amazing concept for the video. And hypothetically speaking, if Applause and the rest of the EDM songs were to be released in 2011 instead of Born This Way's rockish tracks they would've smashed hard. I don't care though, Born This Way is her best album and I'm glad she graced us with it.

nnnn I was just about to clock that. For someone with so much impact she sure does have a small amount of number 1's but it's alright really. It's not the number 1's that count but the repertoire and career longevity that do.

I thought Telephone made it to number one even if it was very short.
Born This Way is already iconic - in good and bad ways. Probably moreso than any other album she'll come out with. It's her masterpiece and I will defend it to my death. Time has already started doing wonders to it - a lot of people are already acknowledging that their problems with the era were image itself and that it was a great album. "Marry The Night," "Government Hooker," "Judas," "Hair," "Heavy Metal Lover," "Bloody Mary," "Electric Chapel," "Bad Kids," "You and I," and "The Edge of Glory" are some of her very best work. I stan for it maybe even more than I stan for Gaga lol. Very ahead of its time.

She's only got 3.
Just Dance, Poker Face, and Born This Way. Usually the problem is that there are songs stronger than hers on the charts and she ends up blocked by them. Or they don't catch up fast enough on radio so they stall and get blocked. But yep I love Born this way too. Something about it is just amazing. The image of the era was very brave of her but certainly put a lot of people off.

It's amazing how much impact she's had without having near as many #1's as a certain contemporary artist.

I will forever be bitter that Bad Romance didn't become her third #1.

LMFAO!!!
Yeah it is! I think some people get mixed up with Pop number 1's and Hot 100 number 1's too. I remember when she was the first artist since like Gwen Stefani to have 4 pop number 1's from her debut album.

Shocking that Paparazzi, Bad Romance, and Telephone didn't make it. I still believe that with a slightly better (i.e. shorter) music video, Alejandro could have made it to #1.
But seriously. What stopped Telephone? Because everyone and their mothers were perched on the internet waiting for it to release. I wasn't even a stan or even a major fan then and I still remember the conversations that week at school.

She would have had at least 2 more if streaming points counted back then
