I think the reason why I listen to her so much is because my mom and I had ran away to a domestic abuse shelter and I remember we bought a radio with us. I'd hear Poker Face on the radio like all the time. When we got the chance we bought The Fame and listened to it over and over and over again. It was a rough time but her music was so fun, really helped me get through a rough patch.
Oh my god, why am I getting emotional? This is so...I don't even have a word for it. That's beautiful that Gaga's music had/has the power to help so many of us. Poker Face brought me the same joy that it brought you. I can't put into words what it felt like when I first heard it. Hope you and your mother are doing better now, you're amazing
Ah, you have a lot of favorites. Which isn't a bad thing at all, it's good to have variety. Have you actually ever been to one of her concerts?
No, I only saw her as supportact for PCD and now I am going to the artRave. I was basically broke during the first tour, my grandpa died during the second and during BTW I was kinda alienated, so yeah
I love Swine, it was my most anticipated song along with Sexxx Dreams
I loved her energy while performing it. It was dark and came from a painful place but it felt like it was therapeutic for her and fun for her to unleash the aggression.

That's what I loves about it. I still have the Swine Fest version on my iTunes and listen to it regularly. It's one of my favorite things she has come out with. I just don't like how it transfered to the studio.
I actually love the album versions vocals. The autotune makes it seem more robotic. Like she's trying to make it as unreal as possible if that makes sense.

Ah! You're going to love it I'm sure. The Born this way ball was my first time seeing her and she was amazing. (even with the hip injury) I wanted to go see her during the Fame Ball but you had to be 18 to enter the clubs she was performing at.
when i heard poker face for the first time, it literally sounded like a song from the year 2060. I had never heard anything like that before. No other song has made me feel that way upon the first listen. It's a very rare feeling that I can't put into words.

Literally ahead of its time, and yet perfect for 2009. I've played the song so much

I've never actually seen Gaga live. But I remember when she came here to Colorado for The Monster Ball. It was literally covered on every local news station leading up to the concert and tons of people had Monster Ball T-shirts the next day at school.
Edit: My 420th post. I don't like to boast but our truffles are the most mad-magical in Amsterdam.
I've never seen her live as well
My ****ing country banned ha and I'm too broke to go to my neighbouring country (their currency is 2x ours) to watch ha

If you can find a way to go see her, make a jet for it.
I quit my job, drove five hours, and camped 3 days to see this bitch Literally was all worth it. But definitely don't ever do what I did
I can get the flight cause my boyfriend is a flight attendant and he wants to go with me. The issue is coming up with the funds and choosing the location. And doing it without my parents getting suspicious that I'm going to be gone for days with my boyfriend.
