I just don't have faith in the way her record label promote her album.

I notice all her first singles hit the top charts and she started to slow down after her 2nd single. Why put out an album that is a potential hit when you're not promoting it properly?

Yeah....the sample from Toto's Africa is splendid. If it has a video, it would have been on my playlist in a long time.

HTTAG, Not That Kinda Girl and Anything would have been a big hit if they were promoted properly.

No one really knows whats going on with her in regards to her record label. Blackgrounds suck. She is/was they're best artist and in both albums, especially The High Road, they have failed to promote her properly. She performed a shitload of times on daytime TV. I know they are trying to appeal to the older fans but at the expense of her main fanbase? Also, there were literally NO radio interviews or anything and they had spent so much on promo on the first single that they were broke by HTTAG. Which was a BIG mistake. As people have said before there were SO MANY potential singles and they chose to go with HTTAG. They could have even tried to release HTTAG later but before Let it rain, Coming for you, This Time, The Way You Do Me, Anything and others was just ridiculous.

The fact that blackground were always using the age factor backfired because it meant that whenever she released a song which was not 'for her age' there was the danger of a media backlash. It was a wise decision waiting until she's 18 before releasing another album because she won't have that problem so much.

Working with these big names is great but will they get on the album, and more importantly as singles?

She also needs some collabos with the likes of Ne yo, Chris Brown and other RnB artists because The High Road didn't have ONE on it. Not one.

I'm afraid for her but also excited. If they (meaning her label of course) get it wrong then it could be disasterous, if they get it right however, it could be magnificent. THR was not a flop at all comparing it with the sales of people like Cassie and Paula DeAnda but we all know that she has enough talent, versatility and ability to do much, much, much better. Blackground gave her a chance but I definatly think they've got to go.
