What are some modern classics that come to your mind when you think about music in the last 4 years? (2010 - 2014). I was gonna say the last ten years but I wanted to just tackle the new decade.

Instantly I think of "We Found Love" by Rihanna and "Call Me Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepsen. I mean, cmon, in twenty years, these songs will come on and EVERYONE will know the words!

Also, "Someone Like You" by Adele

"Tik Tok" is a sure fire one

I'm mixed about "Royals". Idk, I just don't get that classic feeling from it. Like one of those well known hits that just fade with time instead of soliciting a place in time, even though it won a Grammy (regrettably imo).

plus its multi platinum in the us alone and spent nine week a top (as much as tik tok) - it won two grammys sis - coming for that commercial and critical impact.

Trying to think of a song that's a bit less obvious. I have to say I truly hope I Knew You Were Trouble ends up a modern classic. I love that song, it's brilliant and I could hear it on the radio years from now.
