It's not ignorant or stupid to believe we are alone. The circustances of our creation are rare and completely random. Let alone the fact that we evolved into "intelligent" life. Our existence depends on so many factors that it's unlikely for intelligent life to exist elsewhere, at least in any proximity to our planet.
I think it's possible that there is alien life. But whether it's intelligent enough to create wormholes and space ships is another story.
There's some questions you have to ask yourself. Why haven't we been colonised? Why would an advanced alien race visit our planet so many times if not for our resources? What do they get out of these random and quick visits? It would probably cost them a lot of energy to get here... Why haven't they made themselves known to us? We pose absolutely NO threat to them... and an advanced alien race probably isn't benevolent.  |
There's way too many other galaxies for our existence to be "random" as the probability that there is another planet similar to ours is already being investigated. I don't see why it's hard to believe that there is some kind of other life other than our own. And i'm completely ignoring the existence of a God or some kind of creation being. If we could happen, then I do believe anything can happen. Your question is also quite self centered. Why not ponder why we haven't made ourselves known to aliens? Clearly we have no founded idea on whether they exist(but that doesn't mean they don't exist). Who's to say that they aren't too far away from us to reach us.
I do agree with you though that just because there have been sightings doesn't mean that aliens or UFOs are real. Just means that people believe that they saw them.
