Honestly I don't really listen to Pop a whole lot, and never have done. Britney I've listened to since my sisters owned her debut when I was 2, and I just couldn't let her music go after that, because I adore her. Xtina also reminds me of when I was younger because her music brings back so many memories. I adore Avril's lyrics, and even though Katy's music can be quite sickly sweet, I love that about it. Apart from that I don't listen to a lot of Pop, aside from fazes I go through every now and then.
Country music jumps out and me because it's so different to what I'm used to. I live in the UK and it's virtually invisible as a genre here, unless you happen to be on forums, or related to one of the older people that grew up listening to it. I love difference, and everything in Country sounds like a different way of life to me.
Rock/Metal music to me is all about the lyrics, and I honestly most of the time have more fun dancing to Rock and Country music than I do to like Pop or Dance, it's weird. But Rock music just makes me feel alive.
