The media is aware of her mental issues , why cant they give her breathing space and stop taking pictures of her. Let her heal.

I always believed, and this is all just guessing, but since she was little, she was on a show, that featured her being many different characters and personalities, that I am sure that took a toll on her mental state. ex. All That, Amanda Show, she was always doing comedy sketches when she was young before her brain could fully be stable since she was so young.
That's just my guess ,and then of course the weed and such, and her dating Kid Cudi probably didn't help either.

Schizophrenia and bipolar disorders are hereditary. Playing different characters had nothing to do with it.
