Hasn't Taylor sold more than Cher now? The difference you have is 11k. She sold 8k of Red just in this week alone. If your list is more than 2 weeks old, then Taylor is above Cher now.

This is going off of certifications, As I Am for example is 3x Platinum but has sold around 3.8 million copies. So It's not take full sales into account.

No problem. I don't use certifications here, I only use sales, and I was able to find receipts for her total sales like 5 minutes ago I added them all up and their sum was 17,020,003 copies sold. It's probably a bit higher than that. All of her album sales are up-to-date, except for Element of Freedom. Its last update was in August 2012, I think. Anyway, I added her to the list.

I know, but I won't update Taylor's numbers until Billboard updates it (They'll probably update it when Red hits the 4 million mark, which is most probably next week or the weeek after it). Plus, Billboard reported that she sold 22.4 million like in October/November, which means that I'll have to track Red's sales from that period till January 2014 and add those sales to the 22.4 million, which would be a bit hard for me to find/do. Let's just wait for Billboard's update.

I hope Taylor snatches that 8th spot from Enya with LP5...maybe 7th spot, but that would be pushing it a bit. Madonna and Reba will probably get snatched by LP 6 if she's consistent enough.

I'm gonna need Taylor to start slowing down soon. Her consistency has just been unbelievable and it almost seems like a guarantee that by the end of her career she'll be at the #3 spot. I just need Britney to start promoting again so she can make sure Taylor is the last female artist to pass her in the U.S.

Taylor will become the 3rd best selling female of the soundscan era within the next 10 years IMO.

IF Taylor remains consistent and has strong catalog sales and longevity (she needs more time prove that, that's why I'm adding and capitalizing the "IF"), she might be able to make it to #2/#1. If not, then #3 is nothing to scoff at

People always think that, but you have to remember she's 24, almost 8 years in to her career and already has four studio albums. She'll probably take off some time for a family and start to lose her consistency relatively soon (and I mean that in relativity to herself, she still has the country genre so she'll always be more consistent than a full on pop girl). Her stans will have to just settle for her being the best-selling digital track artist ever in the United States

I don't see a high possibility there. Country fans have never really accepted women as they age, granted Taylor Swift is one of the first country artists to have so much pop support, and she'd probably have to have like 15 albums or so released (because Mariah is nowhere near done releasing albums) or pull out a diamond album or two, which is so unpredictable, to challenge Mariah. We'll have to gauge Shania when she releases to see a how a country female singer who crossed over to pop can sell when they age.
