I do feel Avril cares about us but she needs to seriously reconnect. Ignoring masterpieces like GYWYL and HH that are fan favourites yet keeping that decade old b-side which her stans practically despise at this point.

But when she's on the stage, she sees which songs fans enjoy and which songs they don't. Maybe because of that she prefers to sing her upbeat songs instead of slow ones. I guess that's why she choosed Bad Girl & Hello Kitty.

But it's not an excuse, she has lots of upbeat songs on her new record. And Losing Grip, Don't Tell Me, He Wasn't, Smile & IAGWIW are not her biggest hits that she must perform. She can easily change them with the new ones..

In my opinion she'll keep IAGWIW (we despise it but the ones on the shows love it) but she'll change Losing Grip, Don't Tell Me & Smile after a couple of shows.

One of the main purposes of a tour is to promote the album it's associated with, though.... Some of these songs aren't even fan favorites and / or weren't big enough to still be performed. "I Always Get What I Want" wasn't even a standard edition track on the album it was on. "He Wasn't", "Losing Grip", and "Don't Tell Me" all need to go too. No one is still here for them. I mean... Why would she keep some of them? Not to mention, she's performed "17" at most of her promotional gigs so far, but she's not including it in the actual setlist? And I thought she loved "Give You What You Like" and "Hush Hush" and she's paying both of them dust.... She's not playing "Bitchin' Summer" or "Sippin' On Sunshine" either? Are you kidding me? This is a lazy setlist. She needs to change it. And the order of the setlist is random too.... She's opening with "Hello Kitty" (which most of her fans don't even like), and then she's doing "Girlfriend", which is her signature hit? Then she closes it with an old song? Typically the artist will open or close with the lead single from their album.... And then after she opens with "Hello Kitty" and "Girlfriend", she does "Rock N Roll" and "Here's to Never Growing Up", which are songs that should really either open the concert or close it.... This setlist is a mess. She needs to change it big time.

I honestly don't see why the set list is such a big deal... when you're at the concert in person you really don't care and songs like "Girlfriend" and "Sk8er Boi" are always the crowd pleasers. It's nice to see her playing Losing Grip again.

If she adds 17 to the set list I will be content, that means she plays (HTNGU, RnR, LMG, BG, HK and 17) 6 songs off the new record. Sure, I'd love to hear GYWYL/Hello Heartache live but she's not going too. Besides, I don't want her to feel forced to play songs live as they will be half-hearted (i.e on TBSTour when fans whined and whined till she played Nobody's Home and it was shambolic).

The only real issue I have is IAGWIA I don't get why she thinks it's so special. I know she loves playing upbeat stuff but why not replace it with an equally upbeat song from her new album, there's plenty of them (17, YASNY, Sippin' On Sunshine). I swear to god she will still be playing that song in 10 years time, it gets special attention... but she pays dust to every B-side/unreleased track she's ever recorded.

Avril is actually really funny... fans whine about wanting her to perform songs off the new album, so she opens with the least favorite song on the album.

I've kinda gone beyond caring about the set list. It's been clear for quite a few years that Avril is a studio artist, I mean, remember all those passionate tweets about being in the studio? I think she far more enjoys creating music than performing it night after night. She's still passionate about music, just not so much about her live shows. In her defense, she made it clear that she wanted a pretty much singles only set list.

Lots of fans dislike the song but lots of them love it either. So i don't think it's their least favourite song of the album.

It is the least favourite by the vast majority of her fans, and most of them consider it the worst song of her career. But of course she performs it because "Asian people will love it" and because she loves it as well.

The problem with this setlist is that she performs mainly "upbeat" songs, and those who aren't upbeat are or have been singles. In an interview, she said she likes to perform upbeat songs and singles because that's what "people expect from me", which isn't very accurate

Also, the songs that she doesn't perform happen to be fan favourites, it's happened last two albums/eras. That's why most of fans are frustated, because they see her best songs remaining unperformed and unappreciated by Avril, even though she even herself said those songs are more favourites than the others.

And let's not get into other things, like half-assed performances and lack of instruments playing. Nowadays, lots of Avril fans don't even want to attend her concerts because they don't feel Avril is giving the best of herself on stage. And not having big/long tours shouldn't be an excuse, an artist should give it all, and she hasn't really done that last eras.

I have not listened to the songs from the new album that much and in fact I barely know anything other than the singles so this might be perfect for me
