Beyoncé had strong promo when compared to anyone that isn't Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus or Lady Gaga. The SuperBowl is the biggest stage in America and commercials are probably the second strongest platform (see the success of: We Are Young, Scream & Shout, Happy, The Man, Party Rock Anthem, Applause, etc.).

I remember Eternium saying this before. I don't know why he thinks a Super Bowl performance without any reference to her new album is a promotional performance for the album.
11 months later she released an album. In that case, Rihanna's EMA performance of Only Girl In The World in 2010 was a promotional performance for We Found Love.
