You're doing too much. No one's putting the LGBT community down, we're just saying that the gay community shouldn't expect all of these (mostly) straight women to feel obligated to fight for us.

I can't find the video from her crowning ceremony in LA but bottom line is Rih does support the LGBT community however she does not go around daily speaking on the subject nor should people expect her to.

I mean, her 2 main stylists Mel Ottenberg and Adam Selman are a gay couple! She loves the heauxmeauxs.
Shakira addressed the gay community with her She Wolf album. She said the song was dedicated to the woman of our time, but also to the gay man of our time. It was her cute way of saying she loves the gays. Plus, these women are popstars, they are surrounded by gay people all the time. Makeup artists, designers, hairstylists, dancers, etc... If Shakira didn't like gay people, then she would have had a hard time doing her job. We should applaud them for having a little lesbian scene in their video. Especially Shakira, who is HUGE in Latin America, and you know how people are there when it comes to gay rights.
They don't have any obligation to acknowledge gay rights. They have the social capital to do so and promote it, obviously, but they shouldn't be expected to do so.

I do not think rih is homophobic but i do think she may be the type of lgbt accepting person but still uncomfortable around flamboyant gay men. i noticed how awkward and uncomfortable she seemed on the alan carr show back, while gaga seems more comfortable and welcoming when she was on his show
