from looking at it again, that chart is inaccurate. it's counting the views it got from Thursday (it came out at 8:30pm EST) and the full 24 hours from Friday. with 3 1/2 extra hours of streaming, the numbers here are a bit inflated.

i'm sure they came very close, but VEVO would've said something by now. if they did break it congrats to Shakira and Rihanna.

i dont know if it passed 20M the first 24 hours BUT what i do know is that now(minutes before 48hours) the video is at 34.583.103 views......

Omg they demolished it. Shakira and Rihanna's views are monstrous on their own so it's only obvious that they were gonna smash together.

is it cheating if fans put the video on a playlist multiple times? is the vevo record prestigous? its sounds like something belieber/directioners get excited for....

It takes a while for VEVO to sort through views to make sure it's legit, I doubt they'll know this soon
