'Being nominated' or 'winning the award' at the Grammys?
Imagine you were a musician attending the Grammys, which one of these two would you rather pick if you could?
Option 1: Being nominated for Record Of The Year, but not winning it
Option 2: Winning a grammy for an irrelevant category
A Grammy is a Grammy, "irrelevant" or not. I'd definitely rather have a Grammy sitting on my shelf. (Fun fact: I've only moved once but at both houses we've lived next to two totally ordinary people who just happen to be Grammy winners.)

Winning.
Off topic, but when I went to state contest last year with my choir(came in second and I'm still pressed about it) the choir director that won was a Grammy winner.
