I just watched a cute little documentary. Apparently a lot of Mick Jagger's distinctive performance habits arose from when The Rolling Stones headlined the TAMI Show and took the stage after James Brown. James Brown was so outrageous and intoxicating to white audiences at the time that young Jagger tried to develop his own crazy style on the spot so as not to seem boring in comparison.
