It's a totally different market. Mortal Instruments bombed because people weren't into the brand (it was never a zeitgeist-moment like the Twilight films) AND bad.
Superhero blockbusters have been consistent sellers since the 80s.
For the foreseeable future, these films will continue to be great successes.
